It is my first time to have stayed in Chengdu for near half a year. As we all know, Chengdu, located in the western China, is named as “the land of abundance”. However, it isn’t as rich as Guangzhou or Hong Kong. The industrial in Chengdu is developing after all.
From my point of view, the most important thing in Chengdu is not the business or industrial but its manufacture and tradition. Chengdu has many tourists’ interests of history, like Du Jiang Yan, Kuan Zhai Street. Nothing can replace the attraction of the history background of Chengdu.
I ever said in my moments that it was unfair to judge Chengdu by comparing the business and industrial with Beijing or Guangzhou because Chengdu has something different.
When we talk about Sichuan, we ought to mention the pandas. Pandas are the symbol of Chengdu of course. There is a Panda Base in Chengdu where a lot of baby pandas are delivered and brought up. Numerous of souvenirs about panda are on sale on nearly every street.
The pace of Chengdu is much slower than Hong Kong or Peking. The women always play Majiang every day for they don’t need to worry about their future. In some ways, they are not ambitious and have no pursuits. But this situation is changing as the development of economy.
Even a lot of young people complain that it is too difficult to have an ideal job in Sichuan especially in Chengdu. More and more advanced technology is used in here. What’s more, Chengdu is more and more attractive for workers. In the last 20 years, a lot of famers went to Guangdong to find jobs and a lot of children became stay-at-home children who were brought up by their grandparents. But now, more and more peasant-works choose to working in Chengdu. In this way, they can look after their children and have job at the same time.
Some streets in Chengdu are really modern now. Chunxilu is one of them. You can buy a lot of luxury here, but I can’t for no money(●’◡’●).
Okay, I forgot to talk about the snacks in Chengdu. Pepper is the most popular ingredients in Chengdu(but I don’t like it). Sichuan food is always spicy and hot. The hot pot is famous food in Sichuan and Chongqing. Luckily, you can choose spicy or not. I went to have hot pot several weeks ago with some foreign friends; they really like it but not me…… it is tooooooo spicy for me.
Beef and mutton are more popular than pork in Sichuan. Maybe beef and mutton can keep them warmer.
My favorite snack is Guokui which is made by flour, some oil, some beef and even some eggs. The oil is pepper oil really special, I think.
It’s not really expensive.
The dry beef is famous, too. They make beef dry and test spicy. If you don’t like them, just have a try.
Don’t blame the people is Sichuan for they eat rabbits. Maybe you will say that how cute the rabbits are. They cook rabbits with a lot of chili and pepper. You may catch a sight of the fierce fire on the pot during cooking.
As for the weather is Chengdu, it’s always cloudy for which I really cherish every sunny day. On the last mid-autumn festival, there were no stars and no moon at night. What is a pity. But you don’t need to worry about sunburnt in Chengdu. It’s a little cold in winter, but not snowing. It has more rainy days than Hong Kong.
By the way, a lot of beauties are in Chengdu and numerous in my university, too. If any 星仔 wants to find your girlfriend, then welcome to Chengdu.(●’◡’●).
本来想上传照片,但是操作比较麻烦,所以。。。。想看的私撮我哈
Different sight to judge Chengdu.
